Where Are They Now?

Where Are They Now?

Forty years ago, over 800 young men & women enlisted in the United States Army between 1969 and 1973 through the efforts of SFC David Hack, US Army (Ret).

This was an especially remarkable feat considering America's involvement in the Vietnam War and the strong anti-war climate of the '60s & '70s.

How Did He Do It?

Sgt. Hack employed unorthodox recruiting tools, such as a custom painted Corvette and military jeep, as well as "Sgt. Hack Wants You for U.S Army" t-shirts (view some articles about Sarge's recruiting days). More importantly, he was able to help young people find good jobs in the Army.

Where Are They Today?

We would like to hear from the enlistees that Sgt. Hack recruited and how the Army improved their lives. Please contact us at: myarmystory@uswings.com.
